A PhD scholarship is available for a student to investigate Physico-chemical interactions in natural soft soils under the supervision of Dr Jubert Pineda and Laureate Professor Scott Sloan. This scholarship is available to international and Australian candidates.
The value of this scholarship is $26,288 per annum in 2016, indexed in January each year. The scholarship is for a period of three years, with the possibility of a six-month extension.

Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded in the subject of Physico-chemical interactions in natural soft soils.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:
  • Suitable applicants will have a Civil Engineering background, preferably with an MSc in Geomechanics.
  • Applicants should have relevant experience in experimental testing and/or numerical modelling.
  • This scholarship is available to International and Australian candidates.
Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities can apply for the scholarship.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have a Civil Engineering background, preferably with an MSc in Geomechanics.
English Language Requirement: The candidate should have a very good command over the English language.
