Washington University in St. Louis International Summer Study Program, 2017




Washington University in St. Louis is excited to offer a limited number of $2,500 competitive scholarship awards for the 2017 International Summer Study program.
International Summer Study at Washington University in St. Louis is a 5-week program in which students enroll in two courses, learn about graduate and professional study in the United States, and explore American Culture. Our small classes and friendly campus provide an ideal introduction to American education.
Program Dates: July 14 – August 18, 2017

Scholarship Award: The scholarship award is $2,500 and covers a portion of the total program fee. All applicants should be prepared to pay the cost of the total program fee ($7,895). If selected as a scholarship recipient, applicants will be responsible for submitting payment of the adjusted program fee ($5,395) and arranging their own travel. Full funding is not available for the program.
Eligibility: The following criteria must be met for admission and scholarship award consideration:
  • Be a current undergraduate student.
  • Have completed one year of study by July, 2017.
  • Be in good academic standing.
  • Have English Language Test (ELT) results with:
    • a minimum score of 90iBt on the TOEFL; (Institution Code: 6929)
    • a minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS; or
    • a minimum score of Level B2 on the CAE or CPE.
Exemptions for ELT are possible for applicants who are native English speakers or are attending a university where English is the primary language of daily life and instruction. Please contact us for more information.
Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are eligible to apply for a scholarship award.

  • Official university transcript
  • Official ELT results (not required if eligible for a waiver)
  • English Proficiency Statement
  • Short essay
  • Scholarship Award essay

The system will notify you by email during the following stages of the application submission process:
  • When your application form has been received.
  • When an admission decision has been made.
  • When a scholarship award decision has been made.

DOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIPS PROVIDED BY THE INTERFACULTY COUNCIL FOR DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION (IRO)
