The University of York is offering scholarships for international students which are based on academic merit and financial need for 2017/18 academic year.
The University of York is a research-intensive plate glass university located in the city of York, England. Established in 1963, the campus university has expanded to more than thirty departments and centres, covering a wide range of subjects.
If students are non-native English speaking applicant they must provide evidence of their English language ability.
Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue Undergraduate as well as MBBS programme.
Study Subject: Scholarship for overseas students: Scholarships are awarded to study any subject (excluding medicine)
Scholarship for overseas medicine students: Scholarships are awarded for MBBS study at the Hull York Medical School.
Scholarship Award: University offers a number of scholarships for international students (non-EU) to help with tuition fees and living costs.
Number of Scholarships: University offers a number of scholarships to the students.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:
Scholarship for overseas students
  • For applicants holding an offer to study any subject full-time (excluding medicine – see the scholarship for overseas medicine students).
  • You will receive a 25% discount on your overseas tuition fee for each year of successful study.
  • This is a competitive scholarship based on academic merit and financial need.
  • You must hold an offer for your chosen course to be eligible to apply.
Scholarship for overseas medicine students
  • For applicants commencing MBBS study at the Hull York Medical School.
  • You will receive a 25% discount on your overseas tuition fee for the first two years of successful study.
  • This is a competitive scholarship based on academic merit and financial need.
  • You must hold an offer for your chosen course to be eligible to apply.
Nationality: International (Non-EU) students are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have their previous degree.
English language Requirements: If you’re a non-native English speaking applicant you must provide evidence of your English language ability.
You need to show enough fluency in written and spoken English to the required level of the course you’re applying to.
Test Requirements: Accepted tests and qualifications
The following tests are accepted for entry into degree-level courses:
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic)
  • Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
  • Cambridge Proficiency (CPE)
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) (Academic)
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) internet-based test (IBT)
  • Trinity Integrated Skills in English (ISE) III
